| Paw paw. An as yet rather unknown fruit from N. America, family of the tropical sour-sop. Purple-brown flowers, ripe fruit is greenish brown with a banana taste, max. 15 cm long. For fruit plant 2 trees for cross-pollination! Our plants are seedlings from improved fruit. Growth is slow, this tree is excellent for small gardens. Give ample water in summer, a rich, well draining soil and extra compost. Improved Varieties sometimes available: 'Prima 1216' and 'Sunflower'. Contains anti cancer 'acetogenines'.
